Collaboration Terms

1. Introduction

These Collaboration Terms set out how the Halal Travel Network (HTN) coordinates and manages creator and brand collaborations through its Talent Management arm.

HTN connects tourism partners with verified content creators to deliver professional, ethical, and culturally respectful campaigns that reflect the values of halal-conscious and inclusive travel.

These Terms apply to all businesses and creators participating in HTN-managed campaigns and should be read alongside:

All personal data processed under Talent Management activities is handled in accordance with the HTN Privacy Policy.

2. Scope of Participation

HTN acts as the coordinating intermediary, managing campaign design, brief distribution, contracts, and reporting.

Participation in a campaign does not constitute HTN membership unless separately enrolled.

HTN does not operate as a personal management or talent agency and offers no guarantee of ongoing work or income.

Each campaign will have a written brief outlining deliverables, timelines, and fees or experience arrangements.

3. Collaboration Process

For Businesses and Tourism Partners

  1. Submit a campaign brief through the official HTN form or by email.
  2. HTN reviews objectives and shortlists suitable creators.
  3. Final selection, contract, and deliverables are agreed before launch.
  4. HTN manages all communications, approvals, and reporting.

For Creators and Influencers

  1. Apply through the HTN Talent form to join the creator roster.
  2. Receive invitations to campaigns that align with your profile and audience.
  3. Deliver approved content to the agreed brief and deadlines.
  4. HTN manages payments and feedback.

General Principle: All communication, negotiation, and reporting flow through HTN. Creators and businesses must not engage directly or independently outside the approved process.

4. Conduct and Professional Responsibilities

Participants must act respectfully, professionally, and in good faith at all times. All behaviour, online and offline, must align with the HTN Code of Conduct, including sections on digital integrity, intellectual property, and respectful communication.

Harassment, misrepresentation, or misuse of HTN platforms will lead to immediate removal from active campaigns. Creators must ensure all content is truthful, accurate, and representative of the location or experience promoted.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Use

Creators retain ownership of original content unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Businesses receive a limited licence to use approved content for the channels, regions, and duration stated in the campaign agreement.

HTN may, with written consent, use campaign materials for case studies, training, or portfolio features, always crediting the creator and/or brand.

Any unapproved reuse or editing of another party’s material is prohibited and may result in termination of participation.

6. Deliverables, Fees, and Payment

Deliverables, timelines, and fees (or experience-based arrangements) are defined in each campaign agreement.

Payment is made through HTN upon satisfactory delivery and approval of agreed content.

Creators are responsible for meeting deadlines and quality standards; delayed or non-compliant content may reduce or void payment.

Experience-exchange (non-paid) collaborations must have a written agreement confirming mutual value and deliverables.

7. Confidentiality

All campaign information, partner data, pricing, and creative briefs are confidential.

Participants must not disclose, copy, or reuse confidential information outside the authorised project.

HTN may share limited data with campaign sponsors or destination partners solely for operational delivery, as permitted under the HTN Privacy Policy.

8. Ethical and Cultural Standards

Campaigns coordinated by HTN must reflect accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and respect for all communities.

Content may not promote alcohol, gambling, or other products inconsistent with halal-conscious travel.

Imagery and language should portray destinations and people with dignity, avoiding stereotypes or sensationalism.

HTN reserves the right to remove or withdraw content that compromises its brand or ethical principles.

9. Liability and Dispute Resolution

HTN facilitates and manages collaborations but does not guarantee campaign performance, audience engagement, or third-party conduct. HTN’s total liability in any campaign is limited to the management fee received for that project.

Any disputes arising under these Terms will be addressed in accordance with the HTN Terms & Conditions and governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10. Duration, Termination, and Updates

These Terms apply from the moment a creator or partner joins HTN’s Talent programme or engages in an HTN-managed campaign. Either party may withdraw from future collaborations by providing written notice, provided no active campaign is in progress.

HTN may update these Terms periodically to reflect operational or legal changes.

The most current version will always be published at www.halaltravel.network/talent-management
