1) Introduction
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Halal Travel Network website and related services.
The Halal Travel Network (HTN) is a global B2B membership network supporting businesses and professionals operating within the halal-conscious travel market through education, trade engagement, and business development.
These Terms apply to all users of the website, including visitors, applicants, members, training participants, event participants, collaborators, and any business or individual engaging with HTN through the website or related digital channels.
By accessing the website or engaging with HTN services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or engage with the relevant services.
HTN may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, reasonable steps will be taken to notify users. Continued use of the website or HTN services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2) Nature of HTN
HTN operates as a membership-based professional network within the global travel sector.
Through its membership model, HTN provides structured access to education, trade engagement, market visibility, and business development support for organisations and professionals working within halal-conscious travel.
HTN facilitates industry interaction through activities such as training, events, networking, and introductions. These activities are designed to support long-term commercial development and collaboration across the travel trade.
HTN does not act as a travel agent, tour operator, or booking intermediary, and does not process transactions or payments between members, partners, or third parties unless explicitly stated within a separate written agreement.
Participation in HTN activities, including listings, training, events, or introductions, does not guarantee commercial outcomes, including but not limited to leads, contracts, bookings, or revenue.
Participation in HTN does not create any partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between HTN and its members or participants. Each party operates independently and is responsible for its own business activities.
3) Membership
Participation in HTN is primarily through membership.
Membership provides access to selected HTN services and activities, which may include education and training, trade engagement opportunities, events, introductions, and ongoing business development support. Access to specific services may vary depending on the membership structure or agreement in place.
Membership provides access to HTN’s network, activities, and support. Outcomes will vary depending on individual engagement, market conditions, and other external factors.
All membership applications are subject to review and approval. HTN reserves the right to accept, decline, or defer applications at its discretion.
HTN reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where there is non-payment, breach of these Terms, breach of the Membership Code of Conduct, misuse of HTN channels or contacts, or conduct that, in HTN’s reasonable opinion, is detrimental to the network or its participants. Where appropriate, HTN may take reasonable steps to notify members of issues and provide an opportunity to address them prior to suspension or termination.
Membership benefits, structure, and access may evolve over time to reflect the development of HTN services and activities. Where changes materially affect active members, reasonable notice will be provided.
4) Use of Website
The HTN website is provided for informational and professional use in connection with HTN activities and services.
Users must access and use the website in a lawful and appropriate manner. You agree not to:
- misuse the website or its content
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted areas, systems, or data
- use the website to engage in unlawful, misleading, or harmful activity
- copy, extract, scrape, or reuse content, data, or contact information without permission
- use the website, directory, or HTN-related channels for unsolicited or inappropriate commercial outreach
Any content made available through the website, including listings, training materials, and other resources, is intended for legitimate use within the scope of HTN participation.
HTN reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the website where misuse or breach of these Terms is identified.
5) Listings and Submitted Content
HTN may allow members and approved participants to submit listings, profiles, images, written content, and other materials for inclusion within HTN channels.
The submitting party is responsible for ensuring that all content provided is accurate, up to date, and does not mislead or misrepresent their services, products, or capabilities.
HTN reserves the right to review, edit, approve, reject, or remove any content at its discretion, including where content is considered inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, outdated, or not aligned with HTN standards.
By submitting content to HTN, you grant HTN a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and share that content in connection with HTN activities, including marketing, training, and industry engagement. HTN will use reasonable discretion in how content is presented and attributed.
The submitting party confirms that it has the necessary rights and permissions to provide such content to HTN.
Submission of content does not guarantee visibility, promotion, or commercial outcomes.
6) Events, Training, and Third Parties
HTN may organise, host, facilitate, or participate in events, training sessions, webinars, delegations, networking activities, and other forms of industry engagement.
Participation in these activities may be subject to additional information, guidelines, or separate terms where applicable and may be subject to additional fees or separate arrangements.
HTN reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event details, including schedules, speakers, venues, and formats, where necessary.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, HTN is not responsible for travel arrangements, accommodation, visa requirements, or any related costs incurred by participants.
Where HTN activities take place within or alongside events organised by third parties, HTN’s role is limited to its own participation and contributions. HTN is not responsible for the overall management, operation, or delivery of such events.
Where activities involve third-party providers, venues, or partners, HTN is not responsible for the performance, delivery, conduct, or outcomes of those third parties, nor for any loss or damage arising from interactions with them.
7) Separate Agreements
Certain HTN services, activities, or collaborations may be delivered under separate written agreements, proposals, or membership arrangements.
Where a separate agreement is in place, it will set out the specific scope, deliverables, and terms applicable to that engagement.
In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and a separate written agreement, the terms of the separate agreement will take precedence.
8) Intellectual Property and Brand Use
All content, materials, and branding made available by HTN, including but not limited to text, training materials, resources, and visual assets, remain the intellectual property of HTN unless otherwise stated.
No user or member may use the HTN name, logo, badge, or other brand assets without prior permission or outside of approved usage guidelines.
Membership of HTN does not constitute certification, accreditation, or formal endorsement unless explicitly stated by HTN.
Members must not make statements or representations that imply endorsement, approval, or partnership status beyond what has been agreed.
9) Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HTN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses arising from the use of the website or participation in HTN activities.
HTN provides access to information, training, and industry engagement on an “as available” basis and does not accept responsibility for decisions made or actions taken based on such information or participation. HTN does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information made available through its website or activities.
HTN does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the website or its services.
HTN is not responsible for the actions, performance, conduct, or outcomes of members, partners, event participants, venues, suppliers, or other third parties, including any interactions, introductions, or arrangements made through HTN.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
10) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The parties will use reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes arising under these Terms through informal discussions before commencing legal proceedings.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
